A Voyage Through Hue and Imagination

From doctor and entrepreneur to artist, my journey has led me to the vibrant world of abstract art. My past experiences in leadership and building a successful healthtech company instilled in me the importance of vision, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. This translates into my rekindled artistic practice, where I constantly experiment and push boundaries to bring my creative vision to life.As a self-taught artist (“autodidactic”), I find deep satisfaction in creating dynamic, colorful abstract pieces. My signature “squeeze and splatter” technique deploys acrylics to bring life to large canvases, culminating in artworks that are both spontaneous and resonant

From a background in medicine and entrepreneurship, the artist’s path has led to the vibrant world of abstract art. His leadership experiences and success in the healthtech industry instilled a deep appreciation for vision, discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Now, as a self-taught (“autodidactic”) artist, he derives immense satisfaction from creating dynamic, colorful abstract pieces.

The artist’s signature technique, known as “squeeze and splatter,” employs acrylics on large canvases, resulting in artworks that are both spontaneous and resonant. Nature serves as an endless muse – from manicured gardens to wild forests and towering peaks. The rich tapestry of colors found on our planet inspires his art, paying homage to fiery sunsets, changing seasons, quiet glacier retreats, and intricate natural patterns.

Amidst the challenges of Covid, the artist’s passion reignited after retiring from business. Now, almost daily, he immerses himself in creating artworks. His talent has garnered recognition, with exhibitions in both London and Barcelona.

Founder & CEO, MHC Asia Group (1994 – 2019): Dr. Lowly spearheaded a health technology company, establishing a vast network of over 2,000 clinics across Singapore

.Authorship: He is the author of two inspirational books, “I Dare to Dream” and “I Dare to Dream Big,” which chronicle his personal triumphs over life’s obstacles and the challenges of the business world.

Public Speaking: A motivational speaker, Dr. Lowly engages audiences in educational and corporate settings, sharing the rich insights gained from his multifaceted journey.

Philanthropy: Dr. Lowly’s commitment to giving back is evident through his establishment of three bursaries to support medical students at NUS, NTU, and Duke Medical Schools. He has also empowered underprivileged Asians through an NGO called Goducate Ltd. in the Philippines.
